Job summary

SMBC is seeking an AVP, Project Manager / Business Analyst to lead end-to-end loans and capital markets systems projects in Singapore. You will manage delivery timelines and budgets, engage users and technology teams to document requirements, and oversee ROI and risk assessments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in IT or Finance with 6+ years of experience, strong stakeholder management, and experience in syndicated loans and related operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Finance with at least 6 years of experience.
• Experience in syndicated loans, loan origination, and loan products.
• Knowledge of banking processes re-engineering and solution design.
• Investment or Corporate Banking domains in APAC preferred.
• Familiarity with APAC banking regulations, cloud guidelines, and vendor risk management.
• Experience with solution architecture and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Work with Program lead to manage implementation of Agency Loans related projects, ensuring delivery within time, budget, and specifications, end-to-end.
• Engage business users, perform business analysis of requests, document user requirements, and formulate solutions with technology teams.
• Support creation of project charters, scope documents, risk assessments, budgets, and ROI discussions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and confirm resulting business unit decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners/Transformation teams to address business goals and initiate necessary projects.
• Co-create business requirements with Analysts and outline IT solutions with Engineering and Architecture teams.
• Support L1 and L2 teams to manage production applications.
