Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Singapore is seeking an AVP/VP, Project Manager to lead large-scale corporate banking initiatives. The role requires 8+ years of PM experience, PMP certification, and strong skills in both waterfall and agile methodologies.

You will manage cross-functional teams across geographies, coordinate vendors and internal resources, and report progress to senior stakeholders. A global end-user experience and unified support model are key objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering) and 8+ years of PM experience.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification required; knowledge of waterfall and agile environments.
• Experience managing large-scale projects across geographies to deliver a global end-user experience.
• Experience in managing project teams and vendors; reporting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project plans with milestones, workstreams and activities.
• Track progress and provide regular project status reports to teams and stakeholders.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports for internal management and senior executives.
• Manage changes in scope, schedule and budget; identify and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal resources to deliver projects.
