Senior Plating Engineer – Process & CI Leader

Job summary

TEMP-TEAM PTE LTD is seeking a Plating Process Engineer to oversee daily plating production schedules and drive process optimization at our West Singapore facility. A Chemical Engineering degree and at least 5 years in manufacturing, preferably in plating, are required.

Experience with Silver Spot Plating and knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO 14001, plus the ability to read AutoCAD drawings, will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical handling or electroplating environment.
• Experience in the plating industry is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Silver Spot Plating will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and statistical process control is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with a systematic approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plating production schedules to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
• Establish, optimize and monitor plating process parameters to achieve consistent product quality.
• Investigate and resolve production, process, quality and material-related issues.
• Analyze manufacturing problems and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce defects and lower production costs.
• Develop and maintain work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, tooling and fixture improvements.
• Train production operators on equipment operation, maintenance and best practices.
• Ensure manufacturing targets for quality, productivity and yield are achieved.
• Support Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
