Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking a seasoned Plating Process Engineer in Singapore. The role focuses on overseeing plating production schedules, optimizing process parameters, and ensuring high-quality outputs in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a chemical handling or electroplating setup, and is proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience in plating industry and process optimization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plating production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Establish and monitor plating process parameters for quality.
• Investigate and resolve production, process, quality and material issues.
• Analyze manufacturing problems and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain WI, SOPs and BOM.

About the Company

Our client, a well-established Japanese manufacturing MNC specializing in precision metal components for the electrical, electronics and semiconductor industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plating production schedules to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
• Establish, optimize and monitor plating process parameters to achieve consistent product quality.
• Investigate and resolve production, process, quality and material-related issues.
• Analyze manufacturing problems and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce defects and lower production costs.
• Develop and maintain work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, tooling and fixture improvements.
• Train production operators on equipment operation, maintenance and best practices.
• Ensure manufacturing targets for quality, productivity and yield are achieved.
• Support Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical handling or electroplating environment.
• Experience in the plating industry is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Silver Spot Plating will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 , ISO 14001 and statistical process control is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with a systematic approach.
