Job summary

Activate Interactive Singapore is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to support on-premises and hybrid infrastructure. You will focus on reliability, stability, and improvements in a government or regulated environment, working with internal teams and L1 vendors to ensure timely incidents resolution and governance adherence.

The role includes technical oversight across compute, storage, OS, backup, DR, and HA, plus incident management, change reviews, and project tracking within a multi-year

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in infrastructure or platform operations.
• Experience supporting production or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, storage, backup, networking and related platforms.
• Experience working with vendor-supported operating models and external teams.
• Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and deep dives for incidents.
• Experience with governance, security governance, change reviews, or SR approvals preferred.
• Experience delivering technical projects with coordination and risk tracking.
• At least 2 years in government/public sector settings (advantageous).
• Strong communication and coordination with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational support for critical platforms across on-prem and hybrid environments.
• Provide technical oversight across compute, storage, virtualization, OS, backup, DR, HA, and related platforms.
• Lead incident management including root-cause analysis and recovery planning.
• Coordinate vendor activities to meet timelines for tasks, incidents, and service requests.
• Review changes and SRs to ensure alignment with security, operational, and architectural requirements.
• Support governance activities including change reviews and compliance readiness checks.
• Assist modernization and multi-year refresh programs while maintaining stability.
• Plan and track infra activities across internal teams and vendors for upgrades and migrations.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies, and action items to ensure milestones are met.
• Collaborate with application, network, security teams to maintain runbooks and governance artifacts.
