Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to support on-premises and hybrid infrastructure underpinning mission-critical systems. Based at Changi Airport T2, the role focuses on reliability, stability, and governance in a government/regulatory environment.

You will work with L1 vendors and internal teams on day-to-day operations and incident resolution. The role involves technical governance, change reviews, and coordinating multi-year technology refresh programmes

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in infrastructure or platform operations.
• Experience supporting production or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, OS, storage, backup, networking and related platforms.
• Experience with vendor-supported operating models and external support teams.
• Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and deep dives for complex incidents.
• Experience in government/public sector settings (2+ years) is preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix, Red Hat Linux and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and alerting practices; basic networking concepts.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational support and maintenance of critical infra platforms.
• Provide technical oversight across compute, storage, virtualization, OS, backup, DR, HA.
• Lead incident management, deep dives, RCA, recovery planning and follow-up.
• Coordinate vendor activities to ensure timely delivery of tasks and SRs.
• Review technical changes and SRs for alignment with security and architecture.
• Support governance activities including change review and risk awareness.
• Support modernization and multi-year refresh programmes while maintaining uptime.
• Plan and track infra activities across teams and vendors for upgrades and migrations.
• Collaborate with application, network, security teams to maintain runbooks and SOPs.
