Job summary

ByteDance's Silicon Platform Team leads chip R&D, guiding logical design through tapeout and mass production. This role focuses on physical implementation, signoff, and PPA optimization for high-performance cores and SOCs. Collaboration with RTL, Synthesis, DFT, and STA is essential to drive progress.

We seek a seasoned engineer with 5+ years in physical design, hands-on PD tools, and a track record of delivering complex blocks from netlist to tapeout in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in physical design / physical implementation.
• Experience owning complex digital block/subsystems/SOC from netlist to tapeout.
• Hands-on experience with PD tools such as Synopsys ICC2 and Cadence Innovus.
• Experience with floorplanning, partitioning, and cross-block timing closure.

Responsibilities

• Own the physical implementation of one or multiple critical blocks/subsystem/SOC from netlist to GDS, including early-stage feasibility analysis.
• Drive block/subsystem/SOC PI/PV/timing signoff and ensure signoff closure.
• Push PPA optimization for high-performance cores.
