Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) in Singapore is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer for the Photo Department to strengthen equipment reliability and performance in the fab.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshoot Level 1–2 issues, and ensure consistent material and chemical supply for production. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 1–3 years in semiconductor manufacturing and PRO Z experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimum 1 year) is required.
• Engineering knowledge of semiconductor devices, electronics and wafer fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals with first-line technical support during shifts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1–2 troubleshooting to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
• Set up systems to ensure uninterrupted supply of dummy wafers, chemicals and coater cups.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize cost and avoid downtime due to unavailable parts.
• Document maintenance procedures, track machine performance, and support continuous improvement.
• Forecast preventive maintenance schedules and spares/consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments is timely and within specifications.
• Maintain ISO standards compliance and 6S housekeeping and safety in the Fab.
• Participate in R&M reduction activities and transfer knowledge to the Mother Fab.

We’re searching for a Senior Equipment Engineer to be part of our Photo Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals, while providing first-line technical support during rotating/swing shifts
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Setup a system to ensure un-interrupted supply of dummy wafers/ chemicals/ coater cups.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize cost without undue equipment down time due to parts not available.
• Document preventive maintenance and recovery procedures, track machine performance, and review data to support continuous improvement
• Forecast preventive maintenance schedule and spares/ consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments are done timely and within specs.
• Familiar with ISO standards requirements and ensure that the section meets them.
• Involve in machine Part repair and R&M reduction activities for self-sufficiency.
• Ensure good 6S housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab
• Establish communication channel with Mother FAB to transfer BKM and perform benchmarking.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) program to response during emergency situation.
• Participate in Transform (10k idea, LSS & BKM) programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM cost.
• Execute new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment for production
• Daily Rework, RTM, FDC, SPC, alarm 3, and EMAP review and close follow up

More about you

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimally 1 year)
• Engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle and wafer fabrication processes.
