Job summary

SSMC is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer for the Photo Equipment Eng. I Department. You will sustain and improve equipment performance, provide on-shift technical support, and drive preventive maintenance across the fab.

A Bachelor degree in engineering and 1–3 years in semiconductors are required, with PRO Z experience preferred. Join a joint venture between NXP and TSMC dedicated to high-quality wafer fabrication, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic cleanroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimally 1 year).
• Engineering knowledge including wafer fabrication processes and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals and provide first-line technical support during shifts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Set up systems to ensure uninterrupted supply of dummy wafers, chemicals and consumables.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize cost and downtime.
• Document maintenance procedures, track machine performance, and review data for continuous improvement.
• Forecast preventive maintenance schedule and spares/ consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments is timely and within specs.
• Ensure ISO standards requirements are met by the section.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Transform programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM costs.
• Execute new equipment start-up from facilities Hook-up to acceptance for production.

We’re searching for a Senior Equipment Engineer to be part of our Photo, Equipment Eng. I Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals, while providing first-line technical support during rotating/swing shifts
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Setup a system to ensure un-interrupted supply of dummy wafers/ chemicals/ coater cups.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize cost without undue equipment down time due to parts not available.
• Document preventive maintenance and recovery procedures, track machine performance, and review data to support continuous improvement
• Forecast preventive maintenance schedule and spares/ consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments are done timely and within specs.
• Familiar with ISO standards requirements and ensure that the section meets them.
• Involve in machine Part repair and R&M reduction activities for self-sufficiency.
• Ensure good 6S housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab
• Establish communication channel with Mother FAB to transfer BKM and perform benchmarking.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) program to response during emergency situation.
• Participate in Transform (10k idea, LSS & BKM) programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM cost.
• Execute new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment for production
• Daily Rework, RTM, FDC, SPC, alarm 3, and EMAP review and close follow up

More about you

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimally 1 year)
• Engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle and wafer fabrication processes.
