Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Equipment Technician to collaborate with Equipment and Process Engineers, reporting to the Equipment Section Manager.

You will handle on-duty tasks, monitor tool performance, and perform preventive maintenance in a 24/7 fab environment. The role emphasizes diagnosing issues involving RF/plasma, vacuum, gas delivery, pumps, and valves, performing root-cause analysis, and driving improvements to uptime and cycle time.

Qualifications

• Understand Etch equipment knowledge including major brands.
• Apply 5 Why / Fishbone / FMEA for tool troubleshooting.
• Improve tool uptime by analyzing data such as FDC, SPC and trend analysis.
• Grasp semiconductor process understanding and how equipment affects process capabilities.
• Learn to be competent in engineering and people by enhancing problem solving, communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance: preventive maintenance (PM), chamber cleaning, parts replacement and calibration.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose equipment failures involving RF/plasma, vacuum, gas delivery/MFC, pumps & sensors etc.
• Root Cause finding: identify why failures occur and implement corrective actions.
• Equipment improvement: improve uptime, MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability and cycle time.
• Cross-functional work: work closely with Process Engineers and tool vendors.
