We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a proactive, highly skilled, and results-driven Senior Operations Supervisor to lead and manage site operations for our Operations Department. Serving as the primary operational bridge between field teams, project management, and clients, you will oversee site surveys, direct multi-team site operations (including pipe laying and urgent repairs), ensure strict EHS compliance, and optimize operational efficiency and resource deployment across Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations & Execution
- Conduct pre-work site surveys to verify site conditions and confirm project commencement timelines.
- Directly lead multiple site teams executing water service works, pipe laying, and urgent emergency repairs across Singapore.
- Ensure all construction works strictly comply with approved method statements, project specifications, and statutory standards.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for public relations, handling notice servings and resolving public complaints promptly.
Departmental & Administrative Management
- Partner closely with the Project Team to optimize work scheduling, equipment allocation, and manpower deployment.
- Monitor departmental budgets and implement cost-control measures to improve overall project profitability.
- Oversee site progress documentation, daily client correspondence, inventory tracking, and administrative reports.
- Track, analyze, and report key operational metrics and departmental performance indicators to upper management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, evaluate, and motivate field personnel, delivering constructive feedback to address performance gaps.
- Identify workforce training needs and coordinate internal or external skill-upgrading programs.
- Mentor team members and establish clear career development pathways to groom high-potential workers for supervisory roles.
Safety & EHS Leadership
- Champion safe work practices across all sites to maintain a robust zero-harm safety culture.
- Enforce strict compliance with regulatory safety standards and company EHS policies, taking prompt corrective action for non-compliance.
- Identify operational risks and implement preventative measures to minimize site accidents and material loss.
Working Schedule & Operational Requirements
- On-site attendance for the daily Toolbox Meeting at 7:00 AM is required.
- Regular travel between various project sites across Singapore is expected to manage field teams and attend site meetings.
- The role involves supporting night shift operations, extended working hours, and ad-hoc site requirements as necessitated by project schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in site operations or a related field, preferably in water services or civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of site work processes, including pipe laying and urgent repair operations.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce safety compliance on site.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and manage scheduling in collaboration with project teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to analyze operational efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle public relations and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Proactive in identifying skills gaps and supporting team training and development.
- Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage for site mobility.
