Job summary

SPD Scientific is seeking an hands-on Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day operations across Customer Service, Shipping and Planning/Supply Chain, ensuring timely fulfilment and service excellence.

You will lead regional teams, drive process improvements, manage ERP/CRM implementations, monitor costs and report on KPIs. The role requires 8–12 years in operations with 3PL exposure and strong Excel/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant operations, supply chain, logistics or distribution experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement, warehousing and distribution operations.
• Experience managing warehouse and distribution operations; exposure to 3PL environments is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Business Central/Navision is an asset.
• Exposure to CRM systems and data analytics / BI tools.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI; data analysis via Pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operational teams to meet service, delivery and productivity targets.
• Oversee warehouse, distribution, shipping, inventory and supply chain activities for end-to-end operations.
• Review and improve processes, workflows and SOPs for efficiency and scalability.
• Monitor purchasing, inventory levels, freight and logistics costs; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control with regular performance reporting.
• Drive performance through KPIs, data analytics and business intelligence.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of ERP, CRM and other systems.
• Collaborate with regional teams to support growth and ensure readiness.
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls and governance.
