Job summary

Seatrium Limited in Singapore seeks an experienced HSE engineer to design fire and safety systems for offshore modules and platforms, and to develop safety philosophies and related specifications. You will review design documents, lead risk analyses (HAZOP/HAZID/SIL), interface with clients and other disciplines, and support procurement of safety equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with at least 6 years in process safety for oil and gas, including offshore

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 6 years of HSE engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, focusing on process safety or technical safety.
Offshore project experience (FPSO, FLNG, FSRU, or platforms) preferred; 1–3 years ideal.
Knowledge of oil & gas process facilities and relevant safety codes/standards (NFPA, EI15) and regulatory/marine codes (MODU, SOLAS, DNV, ABS, LR).
Awareness of industry standards (IMO, NORSOK, API, UK HSE, USCG) and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Designs fire and safety systems for offshore modules and platforms.
Prepares design philosophies, equipment specs, data sheets, and safety equipment lists.
Coordinates risk analyses and safety studies with clients and other disciplines.
Reviews third-party safety studies and hazard analyses (FERA, QRA, etc.).
Supports procurement for safety, firefighting, and life-saving equipment.
Provides health and environmental inputs including risk assessments.
