Seatrium Limited in Singapore seeks a Safety Engineer to lead safety initiatives across offshore wind, substations, and new energy projects. You will review TBEs, analyze safety reports, and develop hydrogen, ammonia, and ESS safety strategies, aligning with decarbonization goals.

The role requires 5–7 years in technical safety, IEC 61400 knowledge, and mentoring capabilities. Travel to offshore sites is expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Process Safety, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in technical safety engineering, offshore wind or energy projects.
• Knowledge of IEC 61400 safety standards and offshore substation safety requirements.
• Experience developing and reviewing safety cases, fire protection strategies, and emergency plans.
• Experience managing safety aspects of offshore substations, HV safety, lightning protection, ESD systems.
• Experience with HAZOP/HAZID/QRA in New Energies, offshore wind, substations.
• Proficient in safety analysis software (DNV GL Synergi Life or similar).
• Ability to manage complex projects and mentor junior engineers.

• Serve as main liaison for safety between third-party consultants, Seatrium, and contractors on offshore wind, substation, and energy projects.
• Review and evaluate TBEs from third-party safety consultants.
• Analyze safety study reports and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
• Develop and implement safety strategies for hydrogen, ammonia, and other fuels.
• Address safety aspects of integrating Energy Storage Systems into offshore platforms.
• Manage interface coordination with topside contractors on safety-related engineering and design.
• Track and follow up on safety study recommendations and integrate into deliverables.
• Lead development of design safety philosophies for offshore wind, substations, energy transition.
• Review and refine fire protection philosophies for offshore environments.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth.
• Adapt strategies to align with organizational goals and project plans.
