Seatrium Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Safety Engineer to lead safety aspects for offshore wind, substations, and new energy projects in Singapore. You will act as a liaison between third-party consultants, Seatrium, and engineering teams, reviewing TBEs and providing critical feedback to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Process Safety, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in technical safety engineering for offshore wind, substations, or new energy.
• Deep knowledge of offshore safety standards, IEC 61400 for wind turbines, and offshore substation safety requirements.
• Experience developing and reviewing safety cases, fire protection strategies, and emergency plans for offshore assets.
• Proven track record managing safety in offshore substation engineering, HV safety, lightning protection, and ESD systems.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the main liaison for safety between third-party consultants, Seatrium, and engineers on offshore wind, substations, and energy projects.
• Review and evaluate TBEs from third-party safety consultants.
• Analyze safety study reports and provide critical feedback and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Develop and implement safety strategies for hydrogen, ammonia, and other fuels aligned with decarbonization goals.
• Address technical safety aspects of integrating Energy Storage Systems into offshore platforms.
• Manage interface coordination with topside contractors on safety-related engineering and design matters.
• Track and follow up on safety study recommendations, ensuring integration into deliverables and plans.
• Lead development of design safety philosophies for offshore wind, substations, and energy transition projects.
• Review and refine fire protection philosophies for offshore environments (wind turbines, substations).
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the safety discipline.
• Adapt strategies to align with broader organizational goals and project plans.
