Job summary

Seatrium Ltd invites an experienced HSE engineer to design fire and safety systems for offshore oil and gas modules and platforms. You will develop design safety philosophies, HSE plans, and specifications for active and passive fire protection, HFE, and related elements.

You will prepare and review engineering design documents, safety calculations, participate in risk analyses (HAZOP/HAZID/SIL/FMEA), interface with clients and other disciplines, and support procurement for safety equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of HSE engineering experience in oil and gas, offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of process safety codes and standards (NFPA, EI15, MODU, SOLAS, DNV, ABS).
• Awareness of IMO, NORSOK, API, UK HSE and USCG standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs fire and safety systems for offshore oil and gas modules and platforms.
• Develops design safety philosophies, HSE plans, and specifications for active and passive fire protection systems, HFE, and related elements.
• Prepares and reviews engineering design documents, reports, and specifications for fire and safety systems, including data sheets and calculations.
• Designs safety layouts and hazard classification documentation including SCE RAM and fire/gas mapping.
• Coordinates risk analyses, interfaces with other disciplines and clients, and leads safety issue resolutions.
• Participates in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, FMEA, SIMOPS, and ALARP studies and ensures closure of actions.
