Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Network Engineer to support day-to-day operations and maintain high-availability network infrastructure across data centres and offices in Singapore. You will configure Cisco routers/switches, Check Point VPN appliances, firewalls, and load balancers while ensuring firmware readiness and timely patches.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, incident management, and vendor coordination skills, with preference for banking/financial services exposure.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Network Engineering / Network Operations / Infrastructure Support.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, Check Point Firewall/VPN and load balancers.
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing, switching and network security.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management and vendor coordination skills.
• Banking/financial services experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations and maintenance of network and voice infrastructure to ensure high availability, stability and performance.
• Monitor and manage LAN/WAN networks and connectivity across data centres, office locations and external networks.
• Configure, administer and support network infrastructure, including Cisco routers and switches, Check Point VPN appliances and firewalls, load balancers and related network/security devices.
• Ensure network devices are maintained with appropriate firmware and operating system versions, including regular patching and upgrades.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues, and coordinate upgrades and optimisation activities where required.
• Act as an escalation point for network-related incidents and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders and external service providers for timely resolution.
• Support network operations in a 24x7 environment, including incident management and escalation where required.
• Provide Level 1 operational support for telecommunications services, including IP telephony configuration, password resets and equipment deployment.
• Liaise and coordinate with external vendors, telecommunications carriers and cabling contractors for operational and project requirements.
• Ensure all network changes are performed in accordance with established Change Management policies, processes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, operational records and risk assessments.
• Support the Architecture team in the implementation of new infrastructure and technology solutions.
• Participate in IT projects involving network infrastructure implementation, upgrades and enhancements.
• Provide technical knowledge and support relating to network and data communication technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team's operational and business requirements.
