Job summary

ST Engineering, based in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, seeks a Senior Network Engineer (Programme Support) to design, configure, and support network infrastructure for major programmes. You will perform architecture reviews, implement secure configurations, and assist on-site during integration and testing phases.

The role requires hands-on networking skills, experience with multi-site deployments, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Singaporean citizens are preferred.

Qualifications

As a Senior Network Engineer (Programme Support), you will be responsible for providing network architecture design, network configuration, and technical support for programme execution. This role includes supporting system integration activities, testing, deployment, and acceptance phases to ensure network infrastructure meets operational and programme requirements.

Network Architecture & Design

• Develop and maintain network architecture designs and technical solutions for programme requirements.
• Review and recommend network topologies, routing, switching, and security configurations.
• Produce and maintain network design documentation, interface specifications, and implementation plans.
• Support network troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management activities.

Network Configuration & Implementation

• Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Perform network integration, validation, and configuration management.
• Support issue investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during implementation and testing.

Programme Support

• Support programme activities including:
• • Platform Critical Design Reviews (CDR)
  • Integration Reviews (IRs)
  • Logistics Reviews (LRs)
  • Project Management Reviews (PMRs)
  • Platform Integration Testing (PIT)
  • System Build Integration Testing (SBIT) setup, teardown, and execution
  • Platform and site integration activities
  • Pre-HAT and Hardware Acceptance Testing (HAT)
  • Pre-SAT and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Pre-OSAT and Operational Site Acceptance Testing (OSAT)

Testing & Acceptance

• Develop and execute network test procedures and verification activities.
• Support system verification, validation, and acceptance activities.
• Document test results, deficiencies, and resolution actions.
• Work closely with project teams, vendors, customers, and stakeholders during test and acceptance phases.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical reports, network diagrams, configuration records, and engineering documentation.
• Provide regular progress updates and technical inputs for programme reviews and project meetings.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, and project processes.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience in defence, maritime, government, or mission-critical communication systems.
• Familiarity with multi-site network integration and acceptance testing activities.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering and project teams.
• Hands-on experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols, switching technologies, firewalls, and network security.
• Experience supporting integration, testing, and acceptance activities in complex programme environments.
• CCNA certification preferred; higher-level networking certifications will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
