Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a proactive Senior System Engineer (Direct Contract) to support day-to-day IT system infra operations, governance, and change processes. You will coordinate planned activities, oversee changes, and validate contractor performance, engaging system owners and management to ensure timely escalations and resolutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with network, server, and firewall appliances, plus strong operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Six years or more of relevant working experience.
• Experience with enterprise network infrastructure including network, server and firewall appliances.
• Hands-on experience in operations and maintenance, change coordination, and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Daily handling of issues raised by NOC operators via network systems, calls or emails.
• Review and coordinate change requests affecting network, server and firewall hardware/software.
• Track contractor activities and ensure deconfliction with critical operations.
• Prepare and review monthly reports and validate SLAs for contractors.
• Validate contractor work and escalate operational impacts to management.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior System Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and governance of IT system infrastructure. The role is responsible for reviewing and coordinating planned activities, overseeing change management processes and validating contractor performance.

The successful candidate will support the customer by engaging the contractors, system owners, and management to enforce proper escalations and problem resolutions with the customer.

• Daily handling of issues raised by Network Operation Centre (NOC) operator such as issues from NMS, call or email from the respective circuit user
• Weekly review of outstanding issues and plans to address root causes that summarized to monthly report and SLA validation for the contractor
• Track to ensure contractor planned activities deconflict with important operation
• Review Change requests involving network, server and firewall appliances.
• Tracking of password changes and regular stock take of inventory
• Develop and review various SOPs
• Updating and filing of records
• Perform validation on contractor's job
• Escalate to management on any operational impact occurred
• Facilitate Monthly Management Meeting

Qualities We Value

• At least 6 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in network, server and firewall appliances and understands its basic commands and operations.
