Job summary

Quess Corp is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain secure networks and lead a small team of engineers. You will oversee design, implementation, and testing of LAN/WAN infrastructure and ensure robust security postures for NETS products and services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network engineering, CCNP preferred, and strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VOIP, and firewall technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience in a network engineering role.
• CCNP certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, implement and support Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (MPLS, ISP and ISDN).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design network solutions for VOIP, desktop, and video connectivity.
• Create, oversee and test security measures (access authentication and disaster recovery).
• Implement configurations per change management policies.
• Design network concepts and configurations for Application Support teams.
• Track refresh of end-of-life network hardware/software.
• Remain on 24/7 standby roster on a rotational basis to handle issues.

About the Company:

Our client is an award-winning global digital innovation consultancy specialising in bespoke software application and developments.

• Role: Senior Network Engineer (12-month contract)
• Remuneration: Up to SGD 7,500 per month
• Location: Braddle road
• Open to Singaporean/ Singapore PR only

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor and lead a small team of Network engineers to troubleshoot and optimise our networks for supporting various NETS products and services.

In this role, you should have excellent problem‑solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you're also passionate about security and data protection, we'd like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Deploy, Implement and Support Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (MPLS, ISP and ISDN)
• Work with various stakeholders within and across the organization on analysing the requirements for Network infrastructure, VOIP/Desktop/Video connectivity to design & create effective Network Solutions
• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
• Implement configurations in accordance to the organization's change management policies and procedures
• Design network related proof of concepts and configuration to Application Support teams for implementation.
• Track the refresh of End-of-Life Network related hardware/software solutions and platforms
• Able to be on 24/7 standby roster on a rotational basis within the team to handle support issues

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology disciplines, with at least 5 years of working experience in Network engineering role in a medium to large sized organization
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
• Strong domain knowledge in VOIP, BGP, IPSEC and EIGRP
• Familiar with Cisco ACI , Cisco routers and switches (Nexus and Catalyst), Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• In-depth understanding of IT Infrastructure; network & server system monitoring, change and configuration management
• Prior experience in implementation of large scale Network solutions in the in the payments industry would be highly advantageous
