Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc is seeking a seasoned Member of Technical Staff (MTS) for HBM Component Validation. You will lead validation strategy, drive root-cause analysis, and define coverage across DRAM/HBM architectures, partnering with Design, DV, Reliability, and Systems teams. Strong coding and debugging skills are essential.

You will mentor engineers, deliver technical presentations, and push AI-enabled workflows to accelerate validation cadence across multiple sites globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of DRAM and HBM architecture, operation, and design concepts.
• Hands-on experience reading and debugging circuit schematics to isolate design-related failure mechanisms.
• Experience running and interpreting timing-accurate circuit simulations to reproduce and root-cause silicon behavior.
• Demonstrated expertise in post-silicon product validation and debug, including root-cause and electrical failure analysis.
• Proven experience programming with Python/C/C++, Verilog, and version control systems.
• Experience with ATE platforms and Algorithmic Pattern Generator (APG) concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and technical presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority for HBM Component Validation, translating DRAM/HBM design intent into validation coverage and test strategy.
• Define and own validation methodologies and coverage plans across structural and functional test flows.
• Lead validation for new and high-risk features in partnership with Design, DV, and Systems Engineering.
• Provide guidance to senior management on technical issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Lead root-cause analysis and electrical failure analysis for validation findings.
• Drive debug summaries and disposition for critical milestones and escalations.
• Develop characterization and debug approaches (e.g., data collection, eye checks, margin analysis).
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, DV, Reliability, and Systems teams on experiments and corrective actions.
• Guide development and validation of HBM test programs across ATE platforms and in-house systems.
• Promote automation and modern tooling to improve detection efficiency and cycle time.
• Mentor engineers and deliver On-the-Job Training and technical presentations.
