Job summary

AECOM in Singapore seeks an experienced professional to provide support on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services cost management. You will interpret drawings, prepare cost estimates, manage MEP contracts, and take-off quantities for project elements.

The role requires a degree in mechanical/electrical/building services, at least 8 years of post-graduate experience in project management, cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration, with strong communication in English

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• At least 8 years postgraduate experience in project management, cost estimation, tendering and contract administration for MEP.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with good communication in English.
• Degree in Building or Quantity Surveying is considered favorable for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide support on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services.
• Carry out cost analyses and prepare cost estimates for MEP services.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate MEP project costs.
• Prepare and manage MEP contracts, including main and nominated sub-contracts.
• Measure and take off quantities for MEP work elements.
• Assess variation orders and prepare interim valuations.
• Compile and administer contract documents for execution.
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance of MEP works.
• Prepare and agree on final accounts for MEP projects.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors on MEP matters; attend meetings as required.
