Job summary

Aurecon in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings business. You will lead a team of specialists to bring ideas to life for complex building projects, drawing on deep technical expertise and client engagement.

The role focuses on delivering projects from planning through design and closeout, managing budgets, schedules, risks, and client relationships, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant professional/technical experience.
• High level engineering consulting and client management skills, experience delivering major/complex design projects (e.g., data centre design).
• Excellent communicator with commercial, analytical and technical skills, strong client focus and track record in business development.
• Ability to manage projects from strategic and detailed planning, concept through to detailed design, demonstrating leadership and team management.
• Ability to lead a team of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development and maintenance of client plans and positive client relationships; bid planning, costing, writing, and signoff with Business Development.
• Accountable for overall success of projects: contract negotiation, project management, timeliness, quality, risk, financial performance, communication and scope management.
• Manage project profitability and financial contribution per proposals, business plans and budgets.
• Provide technical oversight and closeout of projects with clients and Project Leaders; oversee all technical aspects of projects.
