Job summary

GMPTechnologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the development of robust, manufacturable mechanical systems. You will own concepts through to mass production, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including EE, firmware, software and marketing to ensure design for manufacturing and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical design.
• Experience from conceptualization to mass production in product development.
• Experience designing complex mechanisms (clutches, gear trains, cams, linkages).
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical components (motors, power transmission, sensors).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or FEA; good GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop modular hardware design and architecture.
• Generate concepts and detailed designs for mechanical systems.
• Conduct detailed engineering analyses on components and sub-assemblies.
• Assess technical risks and resolve design issues with reliable solutions.
• Ensure quality is built into designs and driven through product development.
• Develop mechanical timelines and be accountable for them.
• Support project planning and design implementation.
• Deliver module designs based on cost, schedule, and quality.
