gbs (singapore) pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical design and development teams in Singapore.

You will drive concept-to-production activities, ensure designs meet quality and manufacturability standards, and mentor engineers across multiple functions. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and customers to deliver complex mechanical solutions on schedule and

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
At least 5 years of engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
Strong background in mechanical design, product development and project management.
Good understanding of design-for-manufacturing, drawings, tolerance analysis and materials.
Experience taking products from concept through testing to production.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and resources.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and product development from concept to production readiness.
Review designs for technical performance, safety, quality and manufacturability.
Drive design quality and engineering discipline with minimal rework.
Lead projects from concept through testing, qualification and production handover.
Manage schedules, resources, risks and technical deliverables.
Provide coaching and guidance to engineers and build team competency.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and customers/suppliers.
