Job summary

Evolution Singapore seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop electro-mechanical products from concept to mass production, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will lead mechanical design, create modular architectures, perform analyses, and ensure manufacturability and quality throughout the lifecycle. The role requires hands-on experience with plastics, sheet metal, die-cast materials, and assemblies, plus SolidWorks proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in mechanical product design and development.
• Experience taking products from concept to production.
• Knowledge of plastics, sheet metal, die-cast, rubber components.
• Understanding of GD&T and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of new products and enhancements.
• Create modular hardware architectures and develop detailed mechanical designs.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses on components and assemblies.
• Identify risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost, manufacturability, and performance goals.
• Own and manage engineering timelines for projects.
• Develop prototypes, validation plans, and testing methods.
• Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into specs.
• Work with manufacturing on injection moulding, machining, sheet metal, gears, and assembly.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and support value engineering.
