Job summary

Venture in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) to lead end-to-end development of advanced mechanical parts, electro-mechanical subsystems, and fluidic/pneumatic mechanisms from concept through mass production.

This role requires rigorous design, analytical simulation (FEA/CFD), DFSS/DFMA application, and close collaboration with manufacturing teams and global suppliers to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics.
• Over 10 years of R&D and new product development experience.
• Proficient in CAD tools, especially SolidWorks.
• Experience with manufacturing: molding, die-casting, machining, coatings.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Familiar with simulation, FEA and Python scripting.
• Experience with lab automation, motion control or packaging design is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design from concept to production.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses (FEA/CFD) and FMEA.
• Coordinate fabrication, assembly and prototype validation.
• Develop DFSS and DFMA-based processes to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
• Prepare specs, BOM, and engineering drawings; liaise with suppliers.
• Present design solutions to clients and support manufacturing teams.
