Job description

The Opportunity
We are hiring a Senior Engineer – Mechanical (Building Services) in Singapore to lead HVAC design for building projects, delivering high quality engineering solutions across a range of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical services (HVAC) design for building projects
• Take ownership of engineering tasks of increasing complexity, demonstrating sound technical judgement and problem‑solving capability
• Perform design analysis and prepare technical documentation including reports, specifications, tenders, and proposals
• Coordinate with other disciplines and consultants to support design integration, quality assurance, and commissioning activities
• Manage project delivery aspects including planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control
• Engage and communicate effectively with clients, sub‑consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
• Review and assess designs prepared by others to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
• Liaise with relevant authorities on submissions, approvals, and regulatory compliance

Key Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, will be an advantage)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a consultancy environment
• Experience in leading or supporting design and design management for projects in healthcare, commercial and/or institutional sectors
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures
• Proficient in relevant engineering tools and BIM platforms (e.g. Navisworks)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently with initiative, while contributing effectively within a team environment
• Strong organisational, delegation, and coordination skills
