Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner (S.E.Asia) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an Executive Engineer – Mechanical (Building Services) to join our Building Services team. You will design, lead and deliver mechanical building services projects for diverse clients across the Asia Pacific while collaborating with a network of engineers.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 3+ years in building services design, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering recognised by PE board; Singapore qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in design and supervision of building service projects; senior for 5+ years.
• Experience in consultancy environment.
• Experience leading design and design management of healthcare, residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects is an advantage.
• Familiar with codes of practice, regulations, and authority submission procedures.
• Proficient with BIM and engineering software; Navisworks experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Able to work independently with initiative.
• Strong delegation and communication skills; team and delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering design with minimal supervision per local and international codes.
• Take increasing scope and complexity in tasks.
• Produce design, tender documents, proposals and technical reports.
• Coordinate QA and commissioning with other disciplines and design consultants.
• Observe, review and report on site works.
• Liaise with clients and provide regular reporting.
• Provide leadership on projects including planning, monitoring and cost reporting.
• Assist in assessing designs prepared by others for clients.
• Liaise with authorities on plans submission and approvals.
• Collaborate with QP to develop mechanical building services designs and calculations.
