Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer to assess engineering problems and develop pragmatic automation solutions for shipboard projects, ensuring designs meet contractual and classification requirements.

The role covers SMS architecture, platform system integration, and interfaces with various shipboard control systems, with travel to project locations as needed. Strong knowledge of marine electronics and standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Automation or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in automation or marine industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of ship automation interfaces and marine systems.

Responsibilities

• Design automation platforms and integrate with SMS and control systems.
• Review propulsion, DP, CCTV, fire and harbour surveillance systems.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet specs.
• Attend sea trials and project reviews as required.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and classification requirements.
