Job summary

ST Engineering Singapore at 7 Benoi Road is seeking an engineer to design, develop, commission and maintain the Ship Management System (SMS) for maritime projects. You will perform system architecture design, integrate SMS with third‑party systems, and coordinate FAT, STW and HAT while ensuring documentation and configuration management.

Ops will require strong teamwork with customers, suppliers and internal trades, plus capability in PLC/SCADA, networking and cybersecurity to support vessel

Qualifications

• Experience in site testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA software.
• Knowledge of control & instrumentation and control system design.
• Knowledge of computer administration, cybersecurity and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP, RS422/485, NMEA, CANbus J1939.
• Knowledge of Python, JSON, Restful, Machine Learning and Data Analytics will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, commission and maintain the Ship Management System (SMS).
• Perform system and architecture design of SMS.
• Perform system integration of SMS with third party systems.
• Coordinate and support FAT, STW and HAT.
• Perform software configuration management and technical documentation.
• Perform hardware/software maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with customers, project manager and other engineering trades.
• Ensure SMS operates during vessel life cycle maintenance.
• Maintain relationships with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
