Job summary

AMD in Singapore is seeking a hands-on, technically adept leader for External Manufacturing Operations - Backend Engineering. You will oversee supplier engagement for thermal cooling solutions and material/process improvements, guiding NPI and high-volume ramp readiness with a focus on quality, cost, and schedule.

You will build and coach a distributed team of engineers, align cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver data-driven updates to executive leadership while ensuring manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on leadership with proven cross-functional project management.
• Experience in semiconductor backend, electronics manufacturing, or high-volume supplier operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier engagement for thermal cooling solutions and related manufacturing processes.
• Plan and drive NPI qualification and ramp readiness for new products and lines.
• Drive manufacturing readiness through PFMEA, control plans, and readiness of equipment.
• Mentor engineers; align cross-functional teams; provide data-based management updates.
• Support supplier and site audits; travel regionally or internationally as required.
