Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in supply chain-related areas such as logistics management and asset stewardship.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail, particularly in identifying potential non-compliances.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels.
• Ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities and drive process improvements.
• The role involves a mix of office and warehouse environments, with frequent travel to different locations and may require physical activity such as inspections and inventory checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage secure warehouse operations for defence equipment and supplies
• Ensure compliance, handle temperature-sensitive materials and maintain real-time inventory control and traceability
• Manage efficient distribution networks to ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Coordinate with transport providers to meet Service Logistics Agreements
• Optimise costs, track performance and respond to urgent supply and emergency deployment needs
• Manage the secure disposal of materials, oversee repair and refurbishment to extend asset life and manage reverse logistics for returns
• Analyse data to drive cost savings and process improvements
• Manage the development and implementation of supply chain strategies and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of supply chain professionals, including the development and implementation of training programmes and career development plans to enhance team capability and operational excellence
