Job summary

The Ministry of Social and Family Development's Rehabilitation and Protection Group seeks a capable supervisor for its Protective Service team. You will lead case workers handling high-risk child abuse, domestic violence and vulnerable adults, and ensure safety planning and coordinated responses.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in social service settings, a supervisory background, and strong writing, presentation, analytical and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Background in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline or with at least 3–5 years of experience with CYP or vulnerable groups.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking abilities.
• Empathetic with high emotional resilience and ability to work calmly in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of case workers handling high-risk cases on-site (child abuse, domestic violence, vulnerable adults) and conduct safety planning.
• Provide management clearance for safety decisions for survivors and families.
• Collaborate with professional partners to ensure coordinated case management.
• Develop and implement operational processes and policies guiding the team's operations.
• Work with planning team to identify competencies and implement trainings.
• Identify and engage professionals to build interfaces for smooth service delivery.
• Oversee staff development to ensure professional capacity.
