Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a strategic communications leader to shape the regional public relations strategy for East Asia, Pacific, and Korea. You will drive awareness, reputation, and consumer engagement across multiple markets while partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver impactful campaigns that support business growth.

The role requires a hands-on leader adept at coordinating cross-functional teams, agencies, and budgets, with a track record of delivering integrated campaigns

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in public relations, external or corporate communications.
• Proven experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies.
• Excellent writing, storytelling, media relations, and communication skills.
• Strong experience managing agencies, budgets, and multiple projects with deadlines.
• Deep understanding of the media landscape across Asia Pacific and strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the EAPAC public relations strategy and communications calendar, delivering integrated campaigns that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, and commercial outcomes across the region.
• Lead the delivery of external communications initiatives across South East Asia & Korea and the wider EAPAC region, ensuring alignment with global campaigns while tailoring messaging to local market needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, influencers, agencies, and industry partners to generate impactful earned media coverage and strengthen brand reputation.
• Partner closely with brand, commercial, marketing, and social media teams to develop integrated communication plans, establish brand positioning, and deliver consistent messaging across all channels.
• Lead agency management, campaign measurement, budget oversight, and performance reporting, using data and insights to optimise communications effectiveness and return on investment.
