Job summary

DKSH Group in Singapore is seeking a Senior Manager, Distribution Centre Operations to lead end-to-end warehouse and transportation activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery within the Supply Chain Management function.

You will drive productivity through Lean, Kaizen, automation, and standardization, manage large teams, and partner with cross-functional groups to align capabilities with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale distribution centre operations.
• Experience leading large operational teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Proficiency in capacity and workforce planning, Lean and Kaizen, risk and business continuity management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end distribution centre operations including inbound, outbound, inventory management, and transport coordination.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Business Units, customers, suppliers, transport providers, and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to meet service level agreements.
• Drive SOPs, GDP, GMP, ISO standards and internal quality requirements.
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, automation, and process optimization initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term workforce plans and allocate resources accordingly.
• Ensure safety culture and EHS compliance across all teams.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Distribution Centre (DC) Operations leads end-to-end warehouse and transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery within DKSH's Supply Chain Management function. This role drives operational excellence through strong stakeholder engagement, workforce and capacity planning, productivity improvement, people development, and a disciplined safety culture.

What You Will Deliver

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Business Units, customers, suppliers, transport providers, and cross-functional teams, and act as the key escalation point for operational issues
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, Customer Service, Quality, Finance, and Planning teams to support business growth and service excellence, ensuring alignment between operational capabilities and business requirements
• Lead end-to-end distribution centre operations including inbound, outbound, inventory management, value-added services, and transport coordination to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, in full, and in good condition
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to meet service level agreements
• Drive standardization and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, and internal quality requirements
• Drive productivity improvement initiatives across warehousing and transportation operations, establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance dashboards for labor efficiency and operational effectiveness
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, automation, and process optimization initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve warehouse utilization, throughput, and resource efficiency
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term workforce plans, leading manpower planning, succession planning, and resource allocation to support business growth
• Monitor DC space utilization and evaluate storage solutions, layout improvements, and automation opportunities to maximize operational efficiency
• Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and operational teams, building a high-performance culture focused on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Conduct regular performance reviews, talent assessments, and development discussions, and identify successors for key operational roles
• Ensure strict adherence to operational procedures, policies, and compliance requirements through structured reviews, action tracking, and clear accountability across all teams
• Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards
• Lead safety programs, audits, inspections, and risk assessments, investigate incidents, and implement preventive actions to drive toward zero lost-time injuries and preventable incidents
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale distribution centre operations
• Proven experience managing both warehouse and transportation functions
• Demonstrated track record in productivity improvement, resource planning, and operational transformation
• Experience leading large operational teams in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of distribution centre operations, warehouse and inventory management, and transportation and delivery management
• Proficiency in capacity and workforce planning, continuous improvement methodologies including Lean and Kaizen, and risk and business continuity management
• Experience with automation, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM), and digital supply chain solutions is an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management, people development, and coaching capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and execution discipline skills
