Job summary

DKSH Singapore is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Development to lead reengineering and optimization initiatives across warehouse technology, layout, and distribution operations. The role aims to improve service delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency while guiding large, complex projects.

The successful candidate will bring 5–8 years in a similar role and 3–4 years in management, with strong knowledge of distribution centers, LEAN Six Sigma, and advanced planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in a similar role.
• 3–4 years in a managerial capacity.
• Advanced knowledge of distribution centers, distribution, and transport operations.
• Understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals and LEAN Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of industrial engineering tools, methodologies, and standards for continuous improvement of the Supply Chain function.
• Oversee development and upgrading of existing distribution centers, including design studies, costing, and project management of distribution center construction.
• Optimize intra-warehouse processes and material flows including layout, storage, handling systems, and automation.
• Establish performance measurement tools and standards to monitor supply chain performance including SLAs and service levels.
• Lead the implementation of 5S workplace organization, OHE, and good distribution practices for SCM reengineering and optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce unit cost across all stages of distribution.
• Provide technical leadership on logistics and warehousing analysis and improvement.
• Collaborate with management to secure support in optimizing supply chain functions.
• Manage and oversee project goals and drive execution.
• Foster team learning and development in SCM to achieve goals.
• Ensure efficient allocation of resources and handle administrative duties.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Development leads supply chain reengineering and optimization initiatives within DKSH's Supply Chain Management function. This role enhances service delivery, improves productivity, and reduces costs across warehouse technology, material handling, layout, storage, and customer delivery operations.

What You Will Deliver

• Lead the development and implementation of industrial engineering tools, methodologies, and standards for the continuous improvement of the Supply Chain function
• Lead and oversee the development and upgrading of existing distribution centers, including supply chain design studies, business case preparation, costing, and project management of distribution center construction
• Lead the optimization of intra-warehouse processes and material flows including warehouse layout, sizing, materials storage, material handling systems, and automation
• Establish performance measurement tools and standards to monitor supply chain performance including service level agreements, performance standards, and customer service standards
• Lead the implementation of standardized 5S workplace organization methodology, Overall Handling Efficiency (OHE), and good distribution practices for supply chain reengineering and optimization
• Champion continuous improvement through innovation to increase efficiency and productivity, and reduce unit cost across all stages of distribution
• Provide technical thought leadership on logistics and warehousing analysis and improvement
• Collaborate with management to secure support in optimizing supply chain functions
• Manage and oversee project goals and drive execution against project objectives
• Foster team learning and development in the area of Supply Chain Management to achieve team and function goals
• Ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in a managerial capacity
• Advanced knowledge of distribution centers, distribution, and transport operations
• Advanced understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals and logistics solution design
• Proven experience with productivity and cost optimization project management
• Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices
• Knowledge of 5S workplace organization methodology, Overall Handling Efficiency (OHE), good distribution practices, and LEAN Six Sigma principles and standards
• Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex projects successfully
• Proficiency in office productivity tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
