Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore seeks a Senior Manager / Manager, People Technology & Automation Delivery to lead end-to-end HR tech delivery, including SAP SuccessFactors, automation, and AI-enabled solutions within the P&C division.

You will configure SAP SuccessFactors, manage integrations with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud, oversee budgets and vendors, and drive security and governance across HR tech deployments to enable better employee experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP SuccessFactors configuration experience is required.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled workflow automation with measurable benefits.

Senior Manager / Manager, People Technology & Automation Delivery

The People & Culture (P&C) Division supports A*STAR’s mission by building the workforce, capabilities and employee experience needed to advance science and technology.

We are seeking a Senior Manager / Manager, HR Technology and Automation Delivery to lead end-to-end delivery of reliable HR technology, workflow automation and AI-enabled solutions across P&C.

The role requires deep, hands-on SAP SuccessFactors configuration and workflow expertise, supported by strong business analysis, integration, testing, release management and production-support capability.

The role will also manage technology budgets, procurement, vendors, contracts and software licences. Experience with ServiceNow, Workato, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and business analysis; map processes and translate outcomes into prioritised requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, solution designs and delivery plans.
• Configure, enhance and support SAP SuccessFactors modules, business rules, workflows, permissions, data structures and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring solutions are maintainable and aligned with the product roadmap.
• Design and deliver workflow automation and responsible AI solutions from prototype through security review, testing, deployment, monitoring, benefits measurement and continuous improvement.
• Manage SuccessFactors integrations, APIs and data exchanges with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, enterprise services and external agencies; apply ServiceNow or Workato where appropriate.
• Lead functional and technical design, documentation, testing, user acceptance testing, releases, readiness, training, adoption and production support with appropriate security, privacy and responsible AI controls.
• Monitor service health, adoption, incidents, defects and technical risks; coordinate root-cause analysis and continuous improvement to strengthen reliability, cycle time, productivity and realised benefits.
• Plan and manage technology budgets, procurement, sourcing, contracts, renewals and software licences; monitor expenditure and licence utilisation and manage vendors for delivery quality, value for money, compliance and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, business or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant HR technology, enterprise application or automation experience.
• Strong hands-on SAP SuccessFactors configuration experience is mandatory, including business rules, workflows, permissions, modules, integrations, testing, releases and production support.
• Demonstrated delivery of AI-enabled solutions and enterprise workflow automation, with evidence of secure production deployment, adoption and measurable operational benefits.
• Strong business-analysis, integration and delivery capability, with sound understanding of APIs, cybersecurity, privacy, access controls, release management and responsible AI.
• Experience managing technology budgets, procurement, vendor contracts, software licensing, renewals and commercial performance in an enterprise or public-sector environment.
• Experience with ServiceNow configuration, Workato delivery, SAP S/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud will be advantageous.
• The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical and commercial judgement, customer empathy, structured problem-solving, clear communication, delivery discipline and ownership from problem definition through production support.

All new hires are appointed on a 3-year renewable contract in the first instance.
