Job summary

Leong Hup Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring accurate inventory, timely deliveries and safe practices.

This role drives efficiency across 3PL, internal logistics, and order fulfilment while guiding the operations team toward greater ownership. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized and capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders to implement improvements and resolve issues end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and distribution operations.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Meticulous, fast learner and able to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, loading and dispatch.
• Monitor productivity and ensure on-time order processing.
• Plan delivery routes, vehicle allocation and daily schedules.
• Investigate delivery discrepancies, customer complaints, returns and missing items.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, coordinate stock takes and reconcile discrepancies.
• Operate and improve AX, WMS, Quick Scan and Auto Count systems; generate reports.
• Maintain safety, quality and compliance with company SOPs.
• Assist Operations Manager in SOP reviews, cost control and resource utilization.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance and other departments.
• Develop staff through training and performance management; manage manpower and overtime.
