DSV Road Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Procurement Engineer to support logistics procurement across Singapore and Malaysia. The role covers vendor sourcing, performance management, contract administration, cost improvement and governance.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in procurement or related fields, strong negotiation and stakeholder skills, and proficiency in Excel with the ability to manage multiple vendors in a fast-paced environment. Singapore-based operations with regional focus.
The Procurement Engineer supports logistics procurement activities across Singapore and Malaysia, including vendor sourcing, performance management, contract administration, cost improvement and vendor governance.
Procurement cost savings and cost avoidance
Vendor service performance and SLA achievement
Successful completion of sourcing and RFQ exercises
Vendor risk reduction
Timeliness of vendor onboarding and contract renewals
Reduction in vendor incidents and recurring service failures
Improvement in vendor payment and billing accuracy
Compliance with procurement policies and processes
Availability of suitable alternative vendors for critical services
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement or a related discipline.
Relevant experience of 3 years in procurement, logistics, transportation, supply chain or vendor management is preferred.
Experience working with transportation, trucking, freight forwarding or logistics service providers would be advantageous.
Good commercial awareness with the ability to analyse quotations, rates and cost structures.
Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Able to manage multiple vendors and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant business systems.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia logistics operations, transportation markets and cross-border requirements would be advantageous.
