ByteDance is seeking an experienced System Engineer to advance the Linux operating system across datacenter servers. You will work with a global team to develop, test, deploy, and maintain OS-related systems for bare metal and cloud servers, aligning with hardware evolution and business objectives.

The role requires strong Linux kernel and OS component experience, with hands-on coding in C/C++, Go, Python, or Java, and collaboration across engineering groups to ensure robust, scalable systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related majors.
• At least 5+ years of experience in Linux operating system development or similar fields.
• Familiar with Computer Architecture and server development life cycle.
• Proficient in C/C++, Go, Python, or Java.

Responsabilidades

• Migrate device drivers and OS components to ByteDance kernel and Linux OS distribution.
• Participate in regular code reviews for Linux Kernel and OS components.
• Design and develop OS, Kernel QA test system, OS image build platform, and deployment/maintenance systems.
• Serve as escalation point for OS issues and coordinate across teams for prompt resolution.
