Job summary

ByteDance in Singapore seeks a Server Operations Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of a large-scale server fleet. You will design firmware and BMC management systems, build automation for operations, and ensure highly available services.

This role collaborates with security and network teams to keep the O&M environment secure and efficient. Candidates should have a strong foundation in Linux, shell scripting, and programming with Python or Go, plus problem-solving skills for complex hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering; large-scale server infra experience preferred.
• Proficient with mainstream server architectures and able to troubleshoot server anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation and maintenance of large-scale servers and related firmware and BMC systems.
• Develop automation capabilities and GUI-based operation tools.
• Build automated server operation/maintenance systems, scripts, and firmware upgrades.
• Formulate secure, controllable O&M environment with security and network teams.
• Perform daily hardware/software O&M, online troubleshooting, fault handling, and diagnostics.
