Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to own the design, performance, and reliability of our Linux server estate across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure). You will lead architecture, troubleshooting, and hardening efforts while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with security and networking teams.

Expect to drive incident response, runbooks, and postmortems, and to document standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Linux systems administration/engineering.
• Deep expertise in Linux internals: processes, filesystems, networking, storage, performance.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash required; Python or similar preferred).
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (VMware/KVM; Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience running Linux workloads on AWS or Azure — provisioning, IAM, networking.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, build, and ongoing administration of Linux servers across the environment (on-prem and cloud).
• Perform deep troubleshooting across kernel, filesystem, storage, memory, and networking layers.
