JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to set NFRs and availability targets, define SLOs/SLIs, and ensure reliability is embedded in design and testing across services. You will drive AI-assisted reliability initiatives and mentor engineers within the Infrastructure Platforms team.

The role requires deep experience in observability, incident analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders to improve customer experience and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure/Site Reliability Engineering or related fields.
• Experience leading major incident investigations, RCA, and problem management in large enterprises.
• Expertise across network, cloud, compute, middleware, storage, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with observability, SLO/SLI engineering, telemetry design, tracing, alerting, metrics, and AIOps.

Responsabilités

• Serves as the technical authority for RCA reviews across major incidents and significant service-impacting events.
• Leads deep-dive RCA challenge sessions and validates findings and corrective actions.
• Independently assesses investigations for soundness and long-term reliability impact.
• Drives blameless accountability by identifying systemic causes and resilience gaps.
• Collaborates with engineering to evaluate observability and resilience capabilities and recommend improvements.
• Validates corrective actions address root causes and reduce recurrence risk.
• Provides independent review of internal, vendor, and third-party investigation reports.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate reliability design and validation, with proper data handling.
• Defines and promotes SLOs, SLIs, reliability metrics, and operational resilience standards.
• Mentors and contributes to reliability communities and governance forums.
• Leads AI-assisted reliability workflows across SDLC ensuring traceability and security.
