JPMorganChase in Singapore is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial and Investment Banking Equities Technology - Prime Services team. You will be a core technical contributor, delivering trusted market-leading products in a secure, scalable way, working closely with traders and quantitative researchers to optimize trading workflows.

You will lead AI-assisted engineering practices, develop secure production code, and drive architecture roadmaps across multiple business

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Deep knowledge of Capital Markets and Equity Market Microstructure.
Experience with electronic trading workflows and post-trade analysis.
Strong Python (or Java) skills for large-scale event-driven systems.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to translate business and quant requirements into scalable architectures.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validated AI outputs.
Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, and security in engineering.

Responsibilities

Write high-quality Python code for front-office technology systems.
Collaborate with Traders and Quant Researchers to improve trading and execution workflows.
Create alignment with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations.
Apply SDLC/TA tools to improve automation and testing.
Develop secure production code and review others' code.
Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation and improve stability.
Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies in software engineering.
