Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches
• Creates secure production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and automated testing
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications ensuring design constraints are met
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report for continuous improvement of software applications
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and uses insights to drive code hygiene and architecture improvements
