Job summary

Local University Singapore seeks a senior researcher and program lead to drive applied AI and robotics research. You will lead projects with industry and government partners, design lab sessions, secure grants, and mentor students within IWSP and Capstone initiatives.

You will oversee lab facilities, ensure safety, and collaborate with faculty to advance teaching, research, and innovation in Robotics & Embodied AI.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in robotics, engineering, CS with embodied AI research experience.
At least 8 years of industry experience in a technical research/innovation role.
Expertise across multiple core areas listed: policy learning, robotics data engineering, world models, perception, ROS2 systems, and security.

Responsibilities

Lead or co-lead applied research and industry collaboration projects with industry partners and government agencies.
Design, develop, and teach lab sessions and practice-based modules in Robotics & Embodied AI.
Secure and manage research grants to support applied research initiatives.
Supervise and mentor students in applied research, Capstone Projects, and IWSP.
Manage laboratory facilities, equipment, and resources for programmes and research.
Ensure compliance with lab safety policies and best practices.
Contribute to development of applied AI capabilities, learning resources, and curriculum support.
Collaborate with faculty and stakeholders to drive teaching, research and innovation outcomes.
