Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an experienced Java software engineer to join the SABRE Market Risk Platform team. You will deliver Java components for internal users, design scalable backend services, and ensure robust, testable code in a high-performance concurrent environment across a global team.

You will work with REST/HTTP APIs, WebSocket, and real-time data feeds, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes while scripting with Bash or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar.
• 10+ years hands-on development experience in investment banking IT.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Java components to internal business users with a disciplined architectural and design approach.
• Write robust code with high test coverage and scalable solutions.
• Provide second-line production support and documentation for operational procedures.
• Coordinate with teams across Technology and other stakeholders to meet requirements.
