Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an experienced software professional to lead the implementation of strategic programmes within the SABRE risk platform for Financial Markets. The role requires ownership of critical deliveries, in a mature agile environment, with second-line support for production issues and close collaboration with business stakeholders across multiple locations.

The successful candidate will mentor teammates, drive robust, scalable design, and contribute to rapid feedback loops

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on development with investment banking IT experience.
• Java development in a performance-focused concurrent environment.
• Experience with TDD and BDD in a commercial environment.
• Exposure to continuous build and deployment solutions such as Azure DevOps.
• Able to work within an agile environment delivering software incrementally.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Management, Project Manager and developers to deliver features for the SABRE risk platform.
• Demonstrate architectural, system design and programming discipline.
• Write robust code with high test coverage and follow best-practice design principles.
• Take ownership of requirements and development efforts; design scalable solutions.
