Job summary

DIGITAL BUSINESS PEOPLE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Applications Developer on a contract basis to analyse, design, develop, review and deploy J2EE/PL-SQL applications. You will work within the Technology Applications team to deliver changes that meet business requirements.

The role requires strong development skills across Java technologies, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to change control and security practices throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong applications development experience with 5+ years in listed technologies.
• Experience across the full development lifecycle and security practices.
• Ability to discuss requirements with users and deliver complete solutions.
• Experience with software configuration management principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement application changes to agreed timeframes and standards.
• Peer code reviews to ensure quality of code deployed in NEMS systems.
• Collaborate with Applications, Operations and Infrastructure teams to deliver changes.
• Assess impact and risk of changes to systems and business.
• Create detailed specifications and implement changes per specs.
• Follow change and version control processes for auditable changes.
• Suggest best-practice improvements and automate manual tasks where possible.
• Provide application support to Operations when needed.
